Adipose banking · Intermediate
Adipose Collection for Stem Cell Banking
This course covers small-volume adipose tissue collection. You use a legally marketed, FDA-cleared liposuction system, and you stay inside its cleared indications and its labeling. You’ll also learn the steps for moving specimens. They go to U.S.-based biobanking labs. That’s where the tissue is held in cryopreservation for long-term storage.
Starting at $5,000 at an instructor’s clinic. Starting at $10,000 inside your practice, with travel included.

About The Course
The Adipose Tissue Banking Program is hands-on training. We run it at Regenerative Medicine Academy. Who’s it for? Licensed healthcare professionals. You want to offer adipose tissue collection in your practice. You also want to coordinate third-party biobanking for your patients.
The course covers small-volume adipose tissue collection. You use a legally marketed, FDA-cleared liposuction system. You stay inside its cleared indications and its labeling. And you’ll learn the steps for moving specimens to U.S.-based biobanking labs. That’s where the tissue is held in cryopreservation for long-term storage.
You get standard workflows. They focus on patient safety, sterile technique, proper records and compliant talk. So you can help a patient decide about tissue preservation with the facts in hand. You don’t promise any specific outcome.
The only stem cell products the FDA has approved are blood-forming stem cells from cord blood, for certain blood disorders. Banked adipose tissue is not an FDA-approved therapy, and this course makes no claim about what stored tissue can do.

The curriculum
What Will You Learn?
Adipose Tissue Banking Basics (Education-First Approach)
- Adipose tissue fundamentals for collection, handling, and storage logistics
- What “biobanking” means in practice, from collection and labeling to shipping, storage, and retrieval requests
- How to discuss evolving science responsibly, including what is known, what remains uncertain, and what should never be promised
- How to keep patient education accurate and transparent, especially when discussing “future use” language
- Compliance note: Banking tissue does not guarantee that any future clinical use will be available, appropriate, permitted, or effective.
Adipose Collection Techniques Using Closed-System Liposuction
- Step-by-step workflow for small-volume adipose tissue collection
- Patient comfort considerations and tumescent infiltration fundamentals
- Blunt cannula technique for controlled collection
- Sterile field setup, aseptic technique, and contamination prevention
- Documentation and chain-of-custody handling from collection through specimen transfer
Lab Integration & Patient Logistics
- How to coordinate with qualified U.S.-based biobanking partners
- Specimen labeling, packaging, shipping, and tracking workflows
- Consent documentation and administrative checklists
- Storage terms, retrieval requests, and how to avoid common operational pitfalls
- Role-based clinic workflow planning for front desk staff, clinical team, providers, and compliance leads
Ethical & Legal Guardrails (Clear and Low Risk Messaging )
- How to describe your service as tissue preservation and biobanking coordination, not a guaranteed health intervention
- Avoiding implied disease-treatment claims in consultations, on your website, in ads, and on social media
- How to answer patient questions about “stem cells,” SVF, and future therapies without overstating what’s possible
- Practical do’s and don’ts for testimonials, before/after content, and patient stories
Business & Financial Integration
What about the money side and the operations side? This program covers those too. You offer tissue banking as a self-pay, elective service. Here’s what we cover:
- Service Model Design. Defining what your clinic provides versus what the biobank provides, with a clear division of responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy & Cost Accounting. Procedure time, supplies, staffing, facility overhead, and time-based pricing logic
- Common Fee Structures. collection/procedure fees plus optional recurring storage fees handled by the biobank (where applicable)
- Patient Financial Consent. Transparent written pricing, refund and cancellation policies, and clarity on what’s included and excluded
- Vendor/Biobank Coordination. Intake requirements, service-level agreements (SLAs), documentation standards, and communication workflows
- Compliant Marketing Strategy. How to promote your service without “promise” language, no claims like “protects you from arthritis,” “future-proofing,” or guaranteed outcomes
The phrasing we suggest for patient education: “Banking keeps tissue stored for you to consider later. It does not guarantee you will be eligible. It does not guarantee a clinical benefit. It does not guarantee that the rules will allow any one use.”
How we teach it
Our Approach
At Regenerative Medicine Academy, we focus on workflows that work in a real clinic. Compliance comes first.
This course covers adipose tissue collection and logistics, and nothing else. It doesn’t cover how cell-based products are made or given. You’ll learn collection technique and specimen handling. You’ll learn chain-of-custody protocols and consent workflows, and how to work with the lab and the biobank. What’s not in it? Enzymatic digestion. Cell isolation, cell expansion or cell culture. And giving adipose-derived cellular products in the clinic.
Practicing clinicians lead the training, and they teach in real time. You watch live demonstrations, and you get supervised, hands-on harvesting practice. The models are simulated or patient-based, depending on the case.

Who it is for
Licensed providers, within your own scope.
The Adipose Tissue Banking Program is for providers who want a workflow they can repeat. It covers adipose collection and third-party biobanking. And the stress is on patient safety, full records and marketing that stays compliant.
Private. You, or you and your staff, with one instructor. So the coaching is personal. It helps you set up an elective banking service. You do it responsibly and with confidence. And you do not overstate what tissue banking can offer.

Training in a state where you are not licensed? Tell us when you request a date. We come to you: at your own practice, you train under the license you already hold there. You come to us: at an instructor’s location, what you do hands on depends on your licensure in that state, and we set the plan with you before you book, following industry best practices.
Your state board sets your scope of practice, not us. Confirm what your license allows before you book. The Federation of State Medical Boards keeps a current directory at fsmb.org. The FDA publishes its position on regenerative medicine therapies on its consumer information page.
Formats and pricing
Two ways to take it.
So what changes between formats? Not the live patient hands-on practice. Not the mentorship from a practicing clinician. Every format includes both. What changes is whose room it is, and who else from your practice is in it.

Included, every time
The training ends.
The access does not.
The day you go home is the day the questions start. Everything below is part of the course. We list it here so you can see it now, instead of finding out later.
Certificate of Completion
One per course. It says you attended and you performed. It's not CME, it's not accreditation, and it doesn't let you practice outside your own scope.
The deck you were taught from
Not a summary. The actual protocol, in front of you the first time you run the procedure with nobody standing there.
Sample consent forms
Teaching templates to take to your own attorney. They're not the operative document, and we won't pretend they are.
Our clinicians, on the phone
You're only getting started when you leave. So when a case doesn't look like the one you trained on, you call. Not a portal, not a ticket queue.
And a look at the practice around it
Knowing the procedure doesn't fill the schedule. So we review the branding, the marketing and the operations. We look at where your leads really come from. You keep what we find, whether you train with us or not. This is practical and operational only. It's not legal, tax, entity or licensing advice. Confirm your structure with your own attorney in your own state.
Common questions
What providers ask before they book.
Who is this course designed for?
This course is for licensed healthcare professionals. That means physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants. You want to add adipose tissue collection to your practice. You want to add third-party biobanking coordination services, too.
You don't need prior experience with liposuction or adipose collection.
What will I be able to offer patients after completing this course?
You finish the program ready to do small-volume adipose tissue collection. You're also ready to coordinate specimen transfer. Where to? Licensed, regulated U.S.-based biobanking labs. There, the tissue is held in cryopreservation for long-term storage.
It's an elective service to preserve tissue. It's not a cell-based therapy, and it's not a treatment.
Does this course cover SVF isolation or cell-based therapies?
No.
This course is about adipose tissue collection and biobanking logistics. That's the whole focus. It does not include enzymatic digestion or cell isolation. It does not include cell expansion or cell culture. And it does not include giving adipose-derived cellular products in the clinic.
How much hands-on training is included?
You'll take part in live adipose collection training, and an instructor supervises you directly. You practice sample handling and packing for cryopreservation. And you watch full workflow demonstrations, end to end.
Private. You, or you and your staff, with one instructor, so the coaching is personal throughout the program.
How do I stay compliant when marketing this service to patients?
The course has a module of its own on ethical and legal guardrails. It covers how you describe your service. You call it tissue preservation and biobanking coordination. You don't call it a guaranteed health intervention.
You'll learn how to steer clear of implied disease-treatment claims. And you'll learn how to field patient questions about stem cells and future therapies, without overstating what's possible.
What is the recommended language for patient education?
We suggest compliant phrasing, like this: “Banking keeps tissue stored for you to consider later. It does not guarantee you will be eligible. It does not guarantee a clinical benefit. It does not guarantee that the rules will allow any one use.”
The course gives you more scripting help, so what you tell a patient stays exact and open.
Can I really learn this in a day or a weekend?
No. We won't tell you that one day of training teaches you everything. That's not possible, and you'd find out the hard way. What a course gets you is enough confidence to start on staff, family and friends. And it gets you access to our clinicians for everything after that.
Will patients in my market actually pay cash for this?
The constraint is almost never the price. It's the consultation. A five minute visit isn't enough to work out what a patient needs. And a patient who doesn't understand what they're weighing doesn't buy it. So part of what we cover is how to build that conversation: what belongs in it, and what has to be in the chart afterwards.
What insurance do I need, and am I covered while I am touching a patient?
You're responsible for your own coverage. We don't provide it, arrange it or extend ours to you. And we won't tell you that you're covered, because we can't verify that for your carrier in your state. What we will do is get on the phone with you and help you work out exactly what to ask them.
What does it cost, and can I cancel?
Private training at one of our instructor locations starts at $5,000. Private training inside your own practice starts at $10,000, and travel and lodging are inside that figure. Both are starting points. So what moves the real number? The discipline and the instructor. How many of your people are in the room. And how much of the course is built just for you.
In-person training is refundable up to 30 days before the session. A 10 percent fee covers processing and office costs. A reschedule carries the same 10 percent fee. Online and self-paced courses are not refundable once you buy them.

Education, not medical advice
Regen Med Academy provides education and training for licensed healthcare providers. Everything on this site is for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, not a treatment recommendation, and not an offer to treat. Providers are responsible for practicing within the scope of their own license and their own state law.
Where a course can run
Courses are taught only in states where the modality is legal for the license you hold. State law in this field changes, sometimes more than once a year. Our reading of each state, with its sources and the date we checked, is on the rules by state page. It is a starting point, not legal advice. It is your responsibility to confirm the modality is legal in your state for your license. Do that before you book. The authority on your own scope is your licensing board, not us. State medical board contact details are published by the Federation of State Medical Boards.
Training on live patients
Procedures performed during training are performed on consenting patients, by licensed providers, under supervision. Participation is voluntary and outcomes vary.
Products and modalities
Some products and modalities discussed in these courses are not FDA approved or cleared for the uses described. Regen Med Academy does not manufacture, sell or endorse any product, and does not approve or clear any product. The FDA publishes guidance for patients and providers on regenerative medicine therapies.
What a certificate is, and is not
Regen Med Academy does not offer CMEs, credit hours or accreditation of any kind. What you receive is a Certificate of Completion. It records that you attended and performed the procedures under supervision. It is not a license, not a board certification, and it does not expand your scope of practice.
Coverage is yours to arrange
You are responsible for your own malpractice coverage. We will help you work out what to ask your carrier, and we recommend getting the answer in writing. Regen Med Academy does not provide, arrange or extend coverage to trainees, and nothing on this page is legal advice or an assurance of coverage.
All courses offered by Regenerative Medicine Academy are for educational and training purposes only. They do not provide medical advice, establish standards of care, or authorize the clinical use of biologic materials, including PRP and adipose derived products, for unapproved indications.
You’re responsible for following every federal, state and local law and rule that applies. That includes FDA and FTC requirements, professional licensing rules and medical board policies. It holds when you use what you learn in this program.
Florida note: Florida’s stem cell therapy law (SB 1768) sets notice and consent rules. Our summary, with its source, is on the rules by state page. Get qualified counsel before you offer or advertise it in Florida.
