Adipose Tissue Banking Program
The Adipose Tissue Banking Program at Regenerative Medicine Academy is a hands-on training designed for licensed healthcare professionals who want to offer adipose tissue collection and third-party biobanking coordination services in their practice.
This course covers small-volume adipose tissue collection using a legally marketed, FDA-cleared liposuction system within its cleared indications and labeling. You’ll also learn the operational steps for transferring specimens to appropriately licensed and regulated U.S.-based biobanking laboratories for cryopreservation and long-term storage.
Throughout the program, participants gain standardized workflows focused on patient safety, sterile technique, proper documentation, and compliant communication—equipping you to help patients make informed decisions about tissue preservation without promising specific outcomes.
At Regenerative Medicine Academy, we focus on clinically practical workflows and compliance-first implementation.
This course covers adipose tissue collection and logistics only, not the manufacturing or administration of cell-based products. You’ll learn collection technique, specimen handling, chain-of-custody protocols, consent workflows, and lab/biobank coordination. The program does not include enzymatic digestion, SVF isolation, cell expansion, cell culture, or clinical administration of adipose-derived cellular products.
Training is led by experts and includes real-time instruction, live demonstrations, and supervised hands-on harvesting practice using simulated or patient-based models as appropriate.
This program also covers the financial and operational side of offering tissue banking as a self-pay, elective service, including:
Recommended compliant phrasing for patient education: “Banking preserves tissue for potential future considerations. It does not guarantee future eligibility, clinical benefit, or regulatory authorization for any particular use.”
The Adipose Tissue Banking Program is designed for providers who want to build a repeatable adipose collection and third-party biobanking workflow, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, thorough documentation, and compliant marketing practices.
With small class sizes of just 5 students per instructor, you’ll receive personalized coaching to help you implement an elective banking service responsibly and confidently, without overstating what tissue banking can offer.
All courses offered by Regenerative Medicine Academy are for education and training purposes only. They do not provide medical advice, establish standards of care, or authorize the clinical use of biologic materials (including PRP, MFAT, BMAC, SVF, or other cellular/tissue-based products) for any particular indication.
Participants are responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (including FDA/FTC requirements, professional licensing rules, and medical board policies) when applying techniques learned in this program.
Florida note (SB 1768): If your advertising or services cross into “stem cell therapy” claims or offerings in Florida, additional disclosure and consent requirements may apply. Seek qualified counsel for Florida-specific implementation and advertising review.

This course is designed for licensed healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, who want to add adipose tissue collection and third-party biobanking coordination services to their practice.
No prior experience with liposuction or fat collection is required.
After completing this program, you’ll be equipped to perform small-volume adipose tissue collection and coordinate specimen transfer to licensed, regulated U.S.-based biobanking laboratories for cryopreservation and long-term storage.
This is an elective tissue preservation service, not a cell-based therapy or treatment.
No.
This course focuses specifically on adipose tissue collection and biobanking logistics. It does not include enzymatic digestion, SVF isolation, cell expansion, cell culture, or clinical administration of adipose-derived cellular products.
You’ll participate in live fat collection training under direct instructor supervision, practice sample handling and packaging for cryopreservation, and observe full end-to-end workflow demonstrations.
With a small class size of just 5 students per instructor, you’ll receive personalized coaching throughout the program.
The course includes a dedicated module on ethical and legal guardrails, covering how to describe your service as tissue preservation and biobanking coordination, not a guaranteed health intervention.
You’ll learn how to avoid implied disease-treatment claims and handle patient questions about stem cells and future therapies without overstating what’s possible.
We recommend compliant phrasing such as: “Banking preserves tissue for potential future considerations. It does not guarantee future eligibility, clinical benefit, or regulatory authorization for any particular use.”
The course provides additional scripting guidance to help you communicate accurately and transparently with patients.
